9 Months

John turned 9 months old last Thursday. So hard to believe it's been that long since he made his early arrival. Weird how pregnancy goes so slow but then they get here and time flies by. John's making lots of improvment developmentally. I'm so proud of him. He's rolling around like pro now getting into all kinds of stuff. He still can't sit up by himself but he's learned to prop himself up with his hands and lean against the couch if I put him there. Still no strength in his legs but hopefully it won't be long for that.

Dinosaur park

Saturday we took the kids up to the Dinosaur park an hour away. It was really neat, especially to me as I love dinosaurs. Isabella got pretty scared when we saw the mechanical ones though, they were in a dark room and moving and roaring and she thought they were real. It was adorable. She didn't even notice the ones outside really, just had a ton of fun running around.

Then we came home and went to a potluck at the church which was enjoyable. It's so nice to get out of the house and be with people after a week of being stuck inside with the kids.

Slide!!!

Well Isabella has become obsessed with the slides at the park. They are definitely her favorite part, so I decided to get her a little one to use at home. Friday we made a trip to Toys R Us, I love having so many stores close by, and got one. We brought it home and she went around and around and around until she was so tired she could barely walk. It was hilarious.

We also had dinner at the Olive Garden, I haven't been there since I was like 10 years old. So yummy and Isabella loved the food, she gobbled up all of her lasagna and breadsticks.

The park

We took Isabella to the park the other day. She loved it so much. It was great to watch her run around and explore. I think it was really good for her development too. She was really pushing herself and trying new things. The slide was her favorite part, a little scary at first but then she got used to it.

The move

I of course stopped writing, I always do. Who knows when I'll be able to keep writing on a long term basis. I guess I should update this thing a little bit. When CPS investigated they determined that there was no abuse or neglect going on but it still took them two months to drop the case and give us custody back, it was pretty awful. And then the doctors still refused to really treat John and wanted to stop all of his meds. So anyway we decided that the best thing was to get John out of Hawaii. Not the easiest thing since we didn't have money to move but we knew we had to do it for him. So we got rid of all our stuff and moved to Utah. Not exactly where we ever imagined we go but it's turned out okay.

The move was stressful to say the least. Our flight was during the night and we ended up with 20 hours of travel time. The kids actually handled it quite well though. We flew over to Oahu and then had to wait there was several hours before our next flight. Isabella had a good time playing with her toys on the floor and running around looking out the windows. They both fell asleep right as we got on the plane, it was about 10pm by then. Isabella didn't sleep well at all, every 15 minutes or so she'd start screaming and kicking in her sleep but she never woke up. I had John in my arms and if I moved at all he'd wake up and start to cry. So I was very uncomfortable the whole time. And of course Corey slept most of the flight.
