Sad Face

This is Hazel's sad face.  She makes it every time I tell her to stop sucking her thumb.  She's my third thumb sucker but the others only really did it while sleeping.  She does it ALL the time and she's almost three so that's not acceptable.  Especially since the dentist said he can already see signs of it affecting her teeth.  The problem is when I tell her to stop it upsets her, and her automatic response is to suck her thumb to comfort herself.  Poor girl, luckily she's so stinking cute when she's sad that everyone just wants to give her hugs.  Of course she will not take hugs from siblings when she's sad, only mommy and daddy.  Sibling hugs are an acceptable substitute when she's hurt though if mommy and daddy aren't immediately available.

And she loves hugs.  She constantly walks up to us, throws her arms in the air and says "big hugs and kiss!"  If she's stuck in a shopping cart she'll ask for hug after hug after hug.  And I gladly accept each and every one.

Both teeth gone

I got my wish and Bella lost her other top tooth before the first grew back in.  She was once again totally afraid to let me pull it out.  Then John came upstairs one day and said Bella had pulled her tooth out.  Turns out she accidently bumped into the table and knocked it almost out, then she pulled it out the rest of the way.  She's so proud that she finally pulled one out herself.

The first is almost halfway in now and the second can already be seen.  I'm sad the toothless look won't last longer.  She sounds so cute when she tries to say "th" words.

The holidays

Here's my super late holiday post.

Legos galore.  There's actually one more set that didn't get photographed.  We're a house full of Lego addicts.
