A Happy Birthday Party

Bella's been talking about her happy birthday party since last weekend. She was very excited about it. So today was the kids combined Winnie the Pooh birthday party. It was a lot of fun, 7 kids (4 of which were 2 year olds) and a lot of craziness. The kids got more presents than they need and are really excited about them. Now I'm off to eat birthday cake and watch a movie, it's been a long day!

Cornbelly's Pumpkin Fest

We had a fun day at the pumpkin fest for John's birthday today. I was kind of worried because there was rain in the forcast but it started sprinkling just as we were getting ready to leave so we timed it perfectly. This year was a lot more fun than last year since John was able to join in. I hope to go back next month and go through the big corn maze, we just did the little one because we knew the rain was coming and it takes about an hour to get through the big one. I did not want to be stuck in there and have it start pouring. Oh and for the cow train ride Bella got to ride in the one named Bella. I saw it last year but Corey rode with her last year and it wasn't big enough to two people.

So John's officially two now and we have two 2 year olds in the house (at least for the next 3 weeks.) They've both been really excited about this birthday thing but they really don't understand it. Bella keeps saying she wants to eat John's birthday (because we went out to eat for his birthday I guess.)

Oh and last night Bella said the cutest thing, it's the start of a new phase. I notice a page torn out of my word search book so I asked Bella about it. I said "Bella did you tear mommy's book?" and she said "No, John's did it. John tore the book" I think she's telling the truth but she's never blamed him before. Even when it wasn't her she would always say she had done it.

Happy Birthday John!!!!

I can't believe my baby is two years old. As slow as the first year went his second seems to have gone so fast. He's such a joy to have around, lots of smiles and giggles. His first year seems like a bad dream now (an all too vivid one) this second year has been much better and I can't wait to see what the next one holds. We went out to eat tonight for dinner and the waiters all sang happy birthday to him and the everyone in the resturaunt joined it. He pigged out (finally) and ate all of his food and ice cream. He's been very picky with his food again and has lost two pounds. He's such a stinker when it comes to food.

Bella's singing The Wheels on the Bus at first. Then she sings the clean up song which she has trouble with. Instead of saying "everybody everywhere" she says "clean up clean up, a bye a share." She's been using her little leap pad a lot lately for singing, she was never into the books that actually go with it though just the main part.

John had his 6 month evaluation for speech therapy today. He really did not do well at all with it. He is doing better at talking but still isn't doing what he's supposed to be doing. A cute thing he does now though is if you tell him to do something he says "okay" and if you ask a question he says "yeah." Bella always answered no to questions so the yeah is a nice change.

Saturday is John's birthday so we're going to Cornbelly's Pumpkin Fest. We went last year and it was a lot of fun and John will be able to actually do stuff this year. And Bella will enjoy the pig races more this year (she's really into Charlotte's Web.)
