I noticed the carpet was wet the other day and couldn't figure out why, I just figured John had spilled something. Then last night I noticed the carpet was still wet, surely it should have dried in two days right. So I did a little investigating, the sink in the basement bathroom is leaking, out onto the carpet in the hall and computer room. Lovely so I went and looked in the bathroom and checked the wall, yep my finger went right through it so there's drywall damage too. I'd just like to thank the contractors that did the remodeling for this lovely gift to us. Luckily the home warrenty will cover it and the plumber is coming on Wednesday. I soaked up what I could and turned off the water under the seak and that seems to have stopped any further damage.

I trimmed John's hair a bit today. I was going to have it really cut but Corey won't let me. He just loves John with long hair so I settled for just cutting the bangs. The honest reason being because it's hard to edit his eyes in pictures with his hair getting in the way. Afterwards Bella begged me to cut her hair, silly girl. She probably could use a little trim soon though.

"Sticks"

I just love Bella for letting me take pictures of her. She does pretty good if I take her outside for it. She just loves flowers from the yard. Her favorite are the dandelion weeds which she calls sticks. And of course like all kids she has to blow the little seeds from it everywhere.

We finished emptying out and cleaning the apartment today. Now I have a whole new load of junk to put away here at the house but it shouldn't take too long. I love having a house, it's so much easier to deal with the kids here. They're great until after dinner time when they turn to little monsters. I hate it because that's when Corey is home and I want to rest but can't. So they've been going to bed a little earlier (and I've been waking up earlier since we moved anyway.)

Tonight we're going to the movies to see Harry Potter. Corey already saw it but I didn't get to. We're going to a late viewing so the kids will sleep through it, hopefully they'll go to sleep like they're supposed to. And I think we're going to the aquarium in a few minutes before we hit the grocery store. We got a membership to the aquarium because it was almost as much as one trip and Bella loves the fishies.

Bella trying to sing twinkle twinkle little star. She's starting to really enjoy singing now.

The kids love their water table more than ever now. It's their favorite thing to do outside. Just yesterday Bella learned to pour water on John. Now she chases him around the backyard trying to put dump water on him. And they're both working up quite a tan. Our neighbor has two dogs and John LOVES them. There's a gap in the fence that he's always looking between to see them. And we were out front last night and a dog came running into the yard and he got so excited. He's going to have to wait awhile before he gets one of his own though, I'm way to tired to deal with a dog right now.

Our new house

I finally got some pictures of the house. It seems pretty empty since we don't own that much. I'm looking forward to new stuff but enjoying how easy it is to clean right now too. The kids are loving the stair (they've never had stairs before.) Bella walked down them today by herself without holding on to anything and was really proud of herself. And so far no one has fallen down them yet.

So anyway the main floor is the living room, kitchen and dining room and a half bath. Then if you go upstairs there's the mater bedroom and two other rooms (the kids rooms) and a full bath. And then all the way downstairs is a finished basement with a family room, two bedrooms (which are a playroom and computer room) and a full bath. I'm so glad we have a bathroom on each floor.

We finally got the internet turned on at the house. Life is quite boring with no internet, what did we do before? Anyway the house is great, I love it and so do the kids. They want to play outside ALL day but it's sooo hot. I didn't even realize how hot it is here because we never went outside before. And they're having a hard time staying up as late as they used to, by 9pm they're dragging and falling asleep.

I still need to go back and finish up at the apartment. It's a mess there but we're not in a huge rush, our lease isn't up until September and it's cheaper to just keep paying rather than break the lease.

I took a bunch of pictures since I had nothing better to do. Didn't get as many good ones as I had hoped but got some of Bella yesterday. She hates sitting for the camera so it's pretty hard. They're always in the little rocking chair because I've found it's the only way to get them to sit still while I take pictures! It's cute but I may get sick of it pretty soon and have to think of something better.
