My Farewell to Daily Blogging

Back in December Corey said I couldn't blog daily if I tried, so I of course had to proove that I can. And now at the very end of July I have done just that. But my daily blogging is unfortunately coming to an end due to some unforseen medical issues. Now I can go back to blogging whenever I get the desire to, or the strength to get off the couch ;)

More Drawings

Bella's new favorite thing to draw. I'm sure you'll have no trouble telling what it is.

And John's. I love the way he draws people.

Play Yard

Phoebe has become much too active for her pack-n-play and it just wasn't suiting her needs anymore. She was still totally content to play in it luckily as she was in there often for protection from herself and the others. Anyway we finally spent the money and got a big play yard. We had one for Bella and really it's the best since it gives them so much room to walk/cruise around and have all their toys. But you don't have to worry as much about everything being perfectly babyproof.

Hotel

So we're at the hotel. It's really nice and has an indoor waterpark which the kids are loving. The best part is the water around the kids play place is only a foot deep so the kids can get around perfectly without going under. In fact when Bella "swims" she can touch the bottom with with her hands to get around. Both of them have been fearless going down the slides and even letting water splash their faces (which is normally not like them.)

Phoebe on the other hand hates it. But she's happy if I sit in a chair holding her.

Happy Birthday Phoebe!

Today my baby is one. It's been a great year and has gone by so quickly. We're all so happy to have her in the family. I'm sure the next year will be even more crazy as she seems to be developing quite the attitude. So here's a look back at her year in pictures. And a here's the link to her birth story too.

Earrings

One year ago today Bella got her ears pierced. And since yesterday was 6 weeks since Phoebe got hers done today they switched earrings for the first time. Bella now in purple and Phoebe in pink. Phoebe wasn't exactly thrilled with the process though.

One Year Pictures

Getting these done a little early, so that they don't end up late. I think she's the most beautiful baby ever.

Old Stuff

So this morning we happened to look in an unused cabinet and found some old fun stuff to do for school today. First we played board games, Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders. During which I found out I do not have any patience for board games with kids, at all! They liked it though so I guess that's what matters.

And this is Bella when she found out she had landed on the licorice square and had lost a turn.

We also found some water colors that John had gotten for his 2nd birthday that we had just never used.

And lastly foam stickers, we got these while I was pregnant with Phoebe and the kids love them. Of course they were so old that about half of them weren't sticky anymore. The kids seemed to have more fun that way though figuring out which ones "worked."

And this is what Bella looked like by the end of the day. It all came off in the swimming pool though, as the kids swam while Corey cooked dinner on the grill.
