She just keeps going

I took this video of Bella a few weeks ago and just got it uploaded. This is the real her, she loves to sing and dance and make up the words as she goes. I swear you could burn calories just watching her

Bows

Photobucket

So Phoebe's hair has gotten too long again and she can't see past it anymore. I really don't want to cut it so we got some bows today for her. She looks so cute and maybe now people will stop calling her a boy.

Poor Baby

Phoebe's crib got recalled. Super annoying. And she cried so hard when I went to put her to sleep in her pack-n-play that we went to Babies R Us tonight to see if we could get a new crib now. Of course since so many cribs have been recalled they are sold out, of everything. So we ordered the new one, which is exactly the same model as our old just updated. Unfortunately it's going to be about two weeks before it comes in so Phoebe is going to be stuck in the pack-n-play for quite awhile. It's heartbreaking hearing her cry when we put her down.

Growth curve?

Photobucket
So this is Phoebe's growth chart. As you can see she's fallen off the curve (and is curving in the other direction now.) She went to the nutritionist today and has lost weight, almost half a pound in the last two weeks. And while her head growth is still technically "on the charts" it's drastically dropped and is definitely concerning. So now we stuff the already piggy baby with even more calories.

We wouldn't want our lives to get too boring now would we.

So Easy

Having just one baby is so easy. The house is so quiet and is always as clean as I just left it. I really do have time to sit on the couch eating bonbons and watching soap operas if I wanted to. Also my laundry baskets and dishwasher are remaining a lot more empty than normal.

I'm definitely enjoying having John and Bella away, I don't miss them nearly as much as I thought I would. Which is nice because I can actually enjoy my break instead of sitting around crying about missing them. And it sounds like they are having a blast on the farm. They also don't seem to miss me nearly as much as I thought they would either. And as for Phoebe, I think she is really really enjoying this only child business.

Here's some new pictures of them with their cousin Alex. I'm still pretending I didn't see the picture of the snake in the kids tractor

Lobster

We got this lobster shirt at The Children's Place and it looks so cute with Phoebe's lobster Goodmama.

Flowers

Just some pictures of the flowers in our yard, since my dad wanted to know what color they turned out to be.

Pics from Nana

Here's some pictures of the kids from Nana. They seem to be having lots of fun. We're home from our long weekend now, we enjoyed lots of time with Corey's parents. I'm looking forward to just relaxing now as it's been a very busy two weeks.

Swimming

Phoebe went swimming today for the first time and really enjoyed it. She had fun splashing around. Of course she wasn't happy about getting dressed in John's old swim things.

On Vacation

John and Bella arrived in Missouri today, after 3 days on the road with Nana and Pappy. I'm pretty glad I wasn't in the van for that (been there done that.) Meanwhile Phoebe is enjoying being an only child and we're out of town for the weekend. She plans to go swimming for the first time later but for now we're enjoying comfy pillows.

Phoebe update

The blood tests they did on Phoebe came back normal but now they want to do some more. For now we're keeping a stict food diary of everything she eats and she's scheduled to see a nutritionist at the children's hospital next week. I rented a baby scale too so that we can track her weight at home as well. It says she weighs less than she did at the doctors last week, I'm really hoping that's just the difference between scales.

She's sitting up on her own all the time now and she learned to clap her hands. It's so cute. Her first physical therapist session is next week, at this rate she's going to learn to do everything before they even come.

It's going to be so quiet

Tomorrow morning Bella and John leave with my parents to go to Missouri. I have no idea what I'm going to do without them here, other than actually get my house clean. Maybe I can sit on the couch and eat bonbons and watch soap operas, although I have no idea what bonbons actually are.

Haircut

John got his hair cut today. We cut it short since he's going to Pappy and Nana's house, it turned out cute. He giggled the entire time because he says the clippers tickle. And of course I couldn't get a good picture of him after because he kept making faces and being silly.

Photobucket

And I don't really like this picture because it doesn't look like him but it shows his hair better.

Summer

Well I think summer is here. We've gone from finally warm outside to almost too hot in such a short amount of time. The kids are loving it.

Here's them playing in the sprinkler. We'll call this the backyard before shot as my dad weeded all the trim out back and it looks much better. I'll have to get a picture of that soon and maybe actually plant something since this year I'm not pregnant and too sick to go outside.

Failure to Thrive

Phoebe went for her check up with the doctor today. I was getting a little worried about her size as I knew she was small but it was worse than I thought. She hasn't gained any weight (or length) in the last 4 months. She's been marked failure to thrive and they took blood to run a bunch of tests. So now we wait to see if they find anything and then work on getting her to gain some weight.

Nana & Pappy

The kids are enjoying a visit from Nana & Pappy who arrived today. They've been super excited and are so tired already. It should be a fun week.

My Mother's Day gifts arrived yesterday. The new prints from Goodmama are so nice and even softer than my others. Here's my diaper laundry from last night.

Early Intervention

Well Phoebe is now in Early Intervention. She got evaluated today and while her scoring wasn't too bad overall the guy said he was worried about her. Worried about her size and the fact that she keeps her fists clenched all the time. I'm getting worried about her size too, I'm not sure she's gaining weight. Kind of anxious to get her to the doctor to check on that.

Oh and he's going to see if John's old therapist Becca can take Phoebe. That would be awesome because we loved Becca, she's the best. And I thought trying to keep Bella out of the way was hard with John, now I have to try to keep two kids out of the way during therapy. Not an easy task because they just want all the new toys.

Happy Mother's Day

Or maybe I should say Crappy Mother's Day. I feel like total garbage today. I did order myself my presents yesterday though, how convenient for Goodmama to have a Mother's Day sale since that's what I was planning to get anyway.

Phoebe is getting evaluated for Early Intervention tomorrow, wish us luck.

Isabella

I haven't gotten any good pictures of Bella in a long time. These didn't turn out as well as I hoped but she's still cute. The kids love being able to play outside all day. And while I really like the warm weather my allergies are seriously killing me this year. I've always had allergies but nothing like this before.
