We cut all of John's beautiful hair off! I have done a lot of thinking about it lately, seriously more thought than should go into a kids haircut, and decided it was best for the summer. He would have been so hot with all that hair and I was having to cut it constantly. So we found a cute kiddie haircut place here. They had adorable seats to sit in and the kids get to pick out a DVD to watch during their haircut (we of course went with Baby Einstein.) And Bella had fun playing on their slide. I miss the long hair but I'm really starting to love the short. He just looks so grown up and handsome.

Big Slide
John loves to slide but he can't get climb the steps to the big one by himself. So we always had to pick him up and put him up there and that gets old fast. So today we were in the play room and I saw him climb up the slide and then come down, too funny. Of course had to get a video of it. Bella now does it too! Oh and listen closely at the end of the first clip, as soon as John comes down Bella runs up and says "So proud of you." She is just too cute.

We had a hot weekend, it's nice to have it warm but I'm still not a fan of the heat. We went to Thanksgiving Point to the farm and Bella had a blast feeding the animals. We went to the gardens for a little while too, it was still pretty busy from the Tulip Festival though. Bella was having fun playing but the older kids were mean to her. She's learned to say "it's scary" when she's afraid. It's so funny, we went in one of the fake caves in the children's garden and it has these tunnels to climb through, it also has a fake bear with scary sounds. Bella ran off screaming "NO, it's scary!" but then she went back on her own and tried it out and decided it was lots of fun. She really becoming more brave with things lately.
We also bought a new water table to replace the old one (that died in the ice storm.) The kids played outside with it forever today. They're very into water lately and since we don't have room for a kiddie pool this will have to do.

Graduating!
+copy.jpg)
John's graduating for occupational therapy! He's such a big boy now that he no longer qualifies for it. Of course we're sad to see Becca go though, we told her she'll have to come back for our next kid ;) So Monday she comes for the last time. John got evaluated on Thursday and will be starting speech therapy though, so he gets a new girlfriend to come visit him. He's been getting so upset everytime she comes though, just a ball of tears for the first 5 minutes refusing to leave mommy's lap. He always warms up though and starts to have fun. Not only does he not talk like Bella but he understands very little (which makes talking hard.) Bella at least understood things. This has made life very very difficult for us lately, he has no attention span and he's into everything. And you can't discipline him because he doesn't get it and just laughs at you. So we've been challenged lately, he's definitely a full time job for me.
Bella has become totally obsessed with Winnie the Pooh. I wasn't really a big fan of it but she is, I've decided that Roo is cute so I like him. But Eeyore, I really can't stand him. Everyone seems to love him but he has got to be the most depressing children's charactor ever!!! He talks soooo slow and complains about everything, just what we need our kids to do right. We netflixed Pooh's Heffalump movie and she's watched it over and over and over. They usually don't watch any tv but I've let to do that one, it's definitely time to send it back. I've been singing the songs non-stop for days now and Corey accidently quoted Pooh at work! Anyway all of Bella's Nemo stuff is slowly being phased out by Pooh. By the way Tigger is her favorite, probably because she already new what a tiger was. So I made her a fleece Tigger blanket and it has replaced her Nemo blankey. She calls it her "ma-um tiger bankey" (ma-um was how she said Nemo.) And winnie the pooh is "pooh tiger" or "bear tiger." And lastly the Heffalump movie is "pooh, tiger, elephant." Okay enough of pooh. Gotta put the kids in bed. They didn't get real naps today since we were out and about so they have crashed in various parts of the house.

The Tulip Festival
We went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point Gardens yesterday. Last time we just went to the Children's gardens and Corey hadn't been to the main one. I like the children's better but it was still fun. There were a lot of people there so that made it harder to get pictures and at the end Bella got really sick of posing for me.
There were tons of grassy hills though and Bella had a blast running up and down them. She didn't quite grasp the concept of rolling down them like the older kids though. We tried to have John roll down and he got soooo mad! I got pictures of that too but haven't gotten around to editing them.
The kids have just started their major late night giggly fit so I have to go enjoy that. They are loud. And if you stop making John laugh he starts crying.

A full sentence!
+copy.jpg)
Last night Corey and I were on our computers and the kids were playing. It had gotten dark out and the lights to the kids room and playroom were off. Bella walked into our room and said "turn on lights please." So proud of her, what a big sentence. She did it again tonight too. I think she's much happier now that she can tell us what she wants more. John's doing great too. He uses his little slide (Bella's old one) by himself now. Just climbs right on up the ladder and slides down. Well he likes to stand up on top of it too and scare mommy first. He's all boy, into everything now and doing crazy things..JPG)
My allergies are finally easing up, what a miserable weekend. I knew I was allergic to flowers but I had no idea it would be that bad!
The kids enjoyed their Easter the Easter grass and justbaskets. Bella made a huge mess with the grass and John had fun putting all the eggs in the basket and then dumping it out and starting over.
