My Babies

The hardest part about getting a picture of all three kids together now is Bella has a hard time seeing past all of Phoebe's hair when she's holding her. Kind of sad huh?

The American Dream

My version of the American Dream.

Followed of course by roasting marshmallows and a good old fashion food fight (which I didn't get pictures of.)

Bad Mommy

Today I had one of those moments when I felt like I should get the bad mommy award. I made oatmeal for breakfast and as I served it Bella reached for her spoon (that was in her bowl) and I poured hot oatmeal all over her hand. She went from laughing and talking to screaming instantly. And of course I felt so bad. Then John got all scared and cried "don't pour oatmeal on me Mommy" as I went to pour him some.

Luckily it wasn't too bad but it did leave a nice blistered burn on one finger. This is the first time any of my kids have been burned by anything. At least she's old enough to understand that it was an accident.

Breastmilk

I have officially weaned Phoebe from breastfeeding and I figure 11 months is a good long run especially considering I never made it past 6 weeks with Bella and John. And never actually got John to breastfeed at all, I just pumped with him.

And thanks to all her feeding issues in the beginning I still have those 800 ounces of frozen breastmilk in my freezer to use. Looking back I can't believe we were able to be successful at breastfeeding. We had so many problems and spent a month trying to make it work and finally gave up and pumped/bottle fed exclusively for another month. And somehow like magic after her sugery she started eating and it was perfect, until she decided to stop growing.

With all the frozen stuff we can easily make it to her first birthday on breastmilk and then we'll continue on with formula after that as she's not at all ready to be on regular milk/soy. And maybe soon there will be room in my freezer for actual food.

Bella

It's impossible to get good pictures of my kids anymore. Bella only makes silly faces, Phoebe crawls away and John just whines. But I keep trying anyway.

Numbers

Bella is all about numbers lately. She counts everything. Here's an example from today while we were in the van.

From Bella

There's 8 windows in the van
And there's 6 people in the van
And 3 carseats
And 2 kids
And 1 baby

Officially crawling

Phoebe is actually crawling for real now. She actually went forward several steps today without falling onto her stomach. She's very close to pulling herself into the standing position as well. Plus after 6 weeks of teething one of her top teeth finally broke through today. Tomorrow she'll be 11 months old. The last 6 weeks have been very busy for her and I'm sure the next 6 will be too.

Curls

It'd been awhile so I gave Phoebe some curls again. It's much harder to do now that she's crawling all over the place. It also looks much cuter after you put the top up in a ponytail.

Lagoon

Corey got tickets to Lagoon from work today so we took John and Bella. Last year I was on bedrest and stuck at home so Corey went with Bella and she has talked about it ever since. The kids had a blast at the waterpark, especially on the slides. I was shocked by just how much John loved the water as he used to scream anytime he got wet.

Long lost pictures

These pictures sat on my camera forever. For some reason I didn't even bother to take them off and put them on the computer. I just checked the date and they were taken in December. Better late than never I guess. It's Bella and Phoebe with Bonz in their matching jammies.

Bowling

Tonight Corey and I took Bella bowling. She had so much fun and it was nice to spend time with just her. We hope to take John too soon.

And because I love comparison pictures, here's Bella next to the ball thing at the same bowling alley when she was 20 months old.

Photo Contest

Well we didn't win the photo contest but we got an honorable mention. And she gets her cute face shown on the Goodmama website.

I put her in the basket as a joke but then the kids stuck all her toys in with her and she thought it was the greatest thing ever. John says it's her cage.

Crawling

Phoebe is starting to crawl. She is really great at scooting now and just started to get up onto her knees and move a little. I'm sure within the next week she'll have perfected it. Hard to believe that 6 weeks ago she couldn't even sit up alone. I'll try getting a video of her this week. We're so proud of her.

We went to get Bella a new helmet today for her bike. Her options were Disney Princess or Star Wars. And what does she choose? Star Wars of course. I'm so glad because I'm not at all a princess fan. She looks so grown up biking down the street.

They're home

I'm so excited to have my babies back. They had so much fun while they were gone. We got Bella a big bike while she was away and she couldn't wait to try it out tonight. John wanted to know where his was so I said he had to learn to pedal and then he could get a big boy bike. Turns out he learned how to do that while he was gone, so we'll have to go get another bike I guess.

She's in everything

I miss the non-mobile baby phase already. She's only rolling and scooting and already she's getting into everything. There's a ton of toys to play with in the living room but she insists on playing with electrical cords and pulling everything off the shelves. Yesterday she pulled all the baby wipes out of the container about five times. I can't wait for John and Bella to come back and keep her entertained. They come home tomorrow.

Toys

Phoebe is finally really getting into playing with toys. And lucky for her we have lots of toys.
