We finally got Phoebe's bathtub pictures taken at Sears. My mom insists we get all the kids pictures taken like this as babies. I have to say Sears picture quality sucks, looks like Phoebe has red hair. But she's still cute.

Still Fits

Yet another thing that still fits Phoebe this year. This one makes me happy because she only wore it once last year and I wasn't sure what I'd get her for the snow this year. The temperature here is supposed to drop 40 degrees tonight with lots of mountain snow tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to the cooler weather.

Oh and it's size 0-6 months.

The kids went to the big hayride that they've been waiting for tonight. Looks like they had fun. Wish I could've been there to go with them too.

Birthday Presents

Yesterday was John's birthday. Bella wanted to celebrate her birthday with John too so they both got to open their presents that we had sent to Nana's house.

It's that time of year again. John turns 4 tomorrow. It was fun going through all the old videos of him to make the video. I tend to not even go through a lot of our video until their birthdays. And I can't believe how much more "baby" he seemed just a year ago.

2nd Trimester

I am finally in the 2nd trimester now, okay well technically three days less if you go by the dates on my first ultrasound but I'm choosing not to do that. I think maybe (just maybe) things are improving. Kind of one step forward and two steps back. I'm still feeling pretty awful but am slowly starting to be able to drink more fluids. Of course now my weight seems to be falling more. I'm about 4 pounds away from where the nutritionist from homehealth says I'd need TPN. At that point my doctor would be forced to give me a PICC line, if that happens right as I'm finally able to get more hydrated on my own that would be awfully unlucky timing. Since my veins needed a PICC about 6 weeks ago.

And while I'm excited to possibly have the HG get better (note I said get better and not go away because that won't happen till the baby comes out) I'm dreading getting further into the pregnancy because that simply means dealing with other problems. I'm sure I'll be having regular contractions by 18 weeks and I hate that. The plan is to start progeterone shots at 16 weeks, which is soon.

Officially Fed Up

After 7 weeks of being stuck for IVs every couple of days I'm official fed up with all of it. In the last 48 hours alone I have been poked 11 times, 10 of which were unsuccessful. Today after 6 tries I told the nurse to just stop and we can try again tomorrow. She said she's never had to try that many times on a person before. I also regularly gets comments from the nurses about how they have dealt with cancer patients and preemies before and had better luck getting veins. So no fluids for me today, which also means an even worse day tomorrow.

It's just a really good thing that I don't mind needles. Because there's no way I could handle this if they bothered me.

13 Weeks

I'm 13 weeks today. Just one more week until I hit the second trimester. I wish I could say I'm starting to feel better but I'm not. Got admitted to the hospital last week but was miserable there so I convinced my doctor to just let me come back home. Still dealing with constantly getting poked for IVs. I had a couple weeks where the nurses all got the IVs in on the first try and they were lasting several days each. But that seems to have ended. They had to use ultrasound to find a vein in the hospital and last night my nurse almost gave up because she couldn't get anything, I wouldn't even bleed when she stuck me. Finally the last try worked though. I'm still losing weight but seem to be getting fatter so I guess the baby must be growing in there.

So what do I do when I'm too sick to get off the couch, crochet. I figure by the time I feel better Phoebe and the new baby will have a nice collection of wool pants. Perfect for winter.





And then I took the lens cap to the camera away and she yelled at me.

Lunch

I can't cook or hardly even go near the kitchen while sick so feeding Phoebe has become more challenging as she wants to eat more. Luckily I remembered they make these little luchable jr things and got some. They are perfect for when I'm really too sick to feed her and she loves them.





But as I've mentioned before do not try to come between this child and her food, even if you are just joking.

I'm bored and going through old pictures. I figured Bella would like looking at them too. Today's theme, caught in the act. Funny how they're all Bella.
