Updates

I figured it's time for some general updates (before I forget stuff.) I'll start with John, in good news he has officially outgrown all of his food allergies that we know of. We were holding off on peanuts until age 3, we did this with Bella too but especially him due to his past allergies to legumes. But he decided to take matters into his own hands, Bella and Corey were eating peanut butter cups and I told John he couldn't have any. He was not happy with that and ripped it out of Bella's hands and shoved it in his mouth faster than you could blink (I have NEVER seen him do anything like that before.) So we watched him for a reaction and nothing happened so I let him have some more later and still nothing so I think we're clear for now. And on the food topic he is getting so much better at trying foods. He's still very picky but when I tell him he has to take a bite he will usually do it. He even ate broccoli awhile back (several bites of it.)

In not so good news it seems my hopes of him graduating out of early intervention before age 3 are over. I wasn't expecting him to still qualify at the last evaluation but still thought he'd be out before he turned 3. At his last appointment though they brought out the person that handles transitioning as they do think he'll still qualify at that time. So it looks like we're transitioning to the school system (I really never thought we'd be in this long.) His speech is really improving but his cognitive skills are still really low. This will be good for him though, I think he'll benefit from the social interaction a lot. And he'll get to ride the school bus which I know he'll just go nuts over.

Bella is so excited about Baby Pokey. She's been able to feel her kick and is always coming up to my tummy and asking if she's awake. I think she actually understands that a real baby is in there. And she keeps asking if we can go to the hospital so that baby Pokey can come out. I've been informed from her that the baby will be coming out of my belly button, she didn't even ask she just told me that's what will happen.

My son is also slow with talking and I was thinking of getting him evaluated. I am sure john will love the bus ride, lol!
