Pacifiers

Photobucket

None of my kids have taken pacifiers, at least not more than a couple times at most.  And I tried really hard with each of them to get them "hooked."  None would take it though, but three have been (well actually still are) thumb suckers.

So anyway with all I bought a lot of pacifiers, every type on the market and they are all over my house.  The kids mostly made chew toys out of them and as they got older used them to pretend to be a baby while playing.  Anyway several times now we've found Hazel with her thumb stuck in a Soothie.  It's the perfect fit and it doesn't seem to bother her at all, in fact I think it's easier to chew on that way.

And now for my confession.  I've always hated when people call them pacis or binky, drives me nuts (especially before I had kids.)  What do I call them now, a sucky.  Which is most definitely more stupid than paci and binky but I can't help it, it just came out and stuck.  Good thing my kids don't take them regularly or people might actually hear me call them that.

Too funny! I bet that feels good on her gums and weird for her finger. I also agree with the Binky thing. I call it a pulg, but the word binky drives me crazy beyond belief. Binky, nummers, and prego (or pregers) are my least favorite baby related words. They all drive me CRAZY. I've got to stop thinking about it now. I'm getting upset.

Yes pregers and prego drive me nuts. And people that call their husbands hubby.
