School

We've now completed 6 weeks of second grade.  It's going really well and the kids are having lots of fun and actually remembering the stuff I teach them.  Phoebe is picking up lots of things from listening to what Bella and John are up to.  And I've found a way to work with her at the table while the older kids are doing work on their own.

This is what our school room looks like, it's also our dining room. I have no idea what we're going to do next year when we run out of room to put our books.

John and Bella got to break out the scissors and glue a couple weeks ago.  They were so excited that we ended up doing a week's worth of science in one sitting without even realizing it.

I've found it's a perfect time to work with Phoebe while John and Bella do math.

I woke up one morning last week and found these on the shelf. I guess they all had art class without me.

We went to the planetarium on Saturday. We didn't stay long but the kids still had fun. They are all very interested in space. Phoebe even know all the planets in order.

And also when the kids got up on Saturday they found quite a few of the leaves had fallen off the tree out front. So they gathered them up and we made an art activity with them.
